The Word Shaped Church: Making the Word of God Central to the Life of the Local Church

This summer the Ockenga Institute has dedicated its Summer Conference to making the study of the Word of God central to our lives, both personally and in local churches. On June 12th and 13th, join Kay and David Arthur, from Precept Ministries, as they provide biblical content and context for studying God’s Word.

Renewing the Evangelical Mission [October 13-15, 2009]

Today’s public square is diverse, global, technologically advanced, consumer saturated and post-ideological. Thinking through the theological mission of the church is vitally important in this increasingly post-Christian, post-partisan and global context.
The Renewing the Evangelical Mission Conference will reassess the evangelical mission within the framework of this cultural milieu by stimulating thinking about key questions for evangelical identity(ies) in relationship to contemporary culture. Join speakers: Os Guinness, Michael Horton, Bruce McCormack, Mark Noll, J.I. Packer, Cornelius Plantinga, Tite Tienou, Kevin Vanhoozer, Miroslav Volf and Lauren Winner from October 13-15th!

Renewing the Evangelical Mission, a conference to honor the legacy of Dr. David Wells, Former Andrew Mutch Distinguished Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology and current Distinguished Senior Research Professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
