Accreditation

Gordon-Conwell operates under a charter of the Board of Higher Education of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Seminary is a member of The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. (The A.T.S. can be contacted at 10 Summit Park Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15275-1103; (412) 788-6505.)

Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., a non-governmental, nationally recognized organization whose affiliated institutions include elementary schools through collegiate institutions offering post-graduate instruction. Accreditation of an institution by the New England Association indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality periodically applied through a peer group review process.

The Seminary is certified by the United States Government for the training of veterans and the education of chaplains for military service and for the enrolling of foreign students.

Gordon-Conwell participates in the Boston Theological Institute, a consortium of nine theological schools in the Boston/Cambridge area. Approved students have the privilege of cross registration.

This accreditation of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary extends to cover all courses offered through the Semlink program.
